Functional yet stylish.
Why choose when you can have both function and fashion. From soft wool base layers to warming thermolite and cosy knits. It all sums up to functional yet stylish outwear that gives you comfort, inside and out.
Wool is a natural fiber and has a unique ability to regulate body temperature; it heats when it's cold and cools when it's hot.
THERMOLITE® technology keeps you warm and comfortable despite its low weight.
A water-repellent layer rejects water but does not withstand prolonged exposure.
A waterproof layer keeps water out keeping you dry and comfortable.
A windproof layer protects you from powerful winds and piercing temperatures.
Reflective details on garments provide good visibility even when it is dark.
A breathable layer allows air to pass through it. This function helps keep you cool, by allowing warmth from your body to dissipate or by allowing cooler air to move in.
Sometimes show don’t tell is the best way to do things. So, we teamed up with Anette, visual merchandiser at Lindex. She is a true outdoor enthusiast – get inspired by her free spirit and trails in the woods.
Learn about layers.
What about those layers? Well, there are some smart things to think about. How does it work and what should you think about? Here are our best tips for dressing from inside and out.
Keep your friends close and your inner layer closer. Because it's important that the material in this layer can breathe while it fits close to the body. And of course, that it feels nice against the skin.
Quality materials such as merino wool are good options for the inner layer. It wicks away moisture, breathes and is super soft. Synthetic or mixed fiber materials are also good alternatives.
Just like Einstein taught us – everything is relative. And so is the middle layer that depends on how cold it is. One layer may be enough in the spring, while winter weather may require more. Regardless it should insulate, and fit close to the body. Fleece, a thinner synthetic jacket or thicker wool garments are all well suited for the middle layer.
It's not just the inside that counts. The outer layer helps you stay dry and protected in various weather conditions. That’s why the ultimate outer layer should be both wind and water resistant. Rain gear, a shell jacket or a slightly warmer padded jacket are excellent options.
Being in nature is a way for me to reboot and find new energy.”
