What is a primer?

Depending on what your skin needs and what look you’re after, a primer can help add hydration, blur out pores, mattify shine, or give your skin a radiant glow.
What primer should you use?
The best primer for you depends on your skin type and the finish you’re after. If your skin feels dry, opt for a hydrating primer to boost moisture. For oily and combination skin, a mattifying primer can help reduce excess shine and keep your makeup fresh for longer. Pore minimising primers help create a smoother look on your skin. How to use primers
Apply primer after you’ve done your skincare routine, and before you put on foundation or other makeup products. Start with a small amount and gently smooth it over your face, focusing on areas where you want extra hydration, radiance, or a matt finish. Let the primer set for a little while before applying makeup. Primers can also be worn on their own for a natural and fresh look. If you only want to use primer, without makeup after, opt for a slightly tinted primer to get that no makeup-makeup look.
