One of our times greatest style icons and actresses. Famous from
movies such as Emma, The Royal Tennenbaum's, Shakespeare in Love
and of course the romantic drama Sliding Doors. Gwyneth Paltrow.
Perhaps you come to think of her sense of comical timing, her
beaming on the red carpet, her style or her appearance in the
TV-series Glee? Gwyneth is a many facetted woman with a lot going
on. This spring she stars in a new leading role, the one as model
in Lindex spring campaign Modern Preppy.

Here she tells us about her relationship with fashion and gives us
her best tips:
"Well it means something different to me now than it did when
I was younger. I have always loved fashion and now that I have two
children with busy schedules I like to find clothes that are both
stylish and comfortable."
As the world-famous person she is Gwyneth is often seen on the
red carpet events around the world and has the luxury of wearing
the design from some of the biggest designers there is.
"If I have to appear on a red carpet I try to find something
that is unique. I like well fitted clothes that have some movement
so that you are comfortable wearing them."
From the big events to being a model for one of Sweden's biggest
fashion brands. May seem as a giant leap. But then again not. It is
after all fashion we're talking about.
"When I was asked to do this campaign I researched the clothes
and was thrilled to see that these are the type of clothes I would
have in my closet. It seemed like such a good match and I really
love the clothes."
We all have wardrobe heroes which we can't do without and in
many cases it's the weather that predicts the outfit, something
Gwyneth agrees on. Her are her must in the wardrobe:
"My shoes (I can't pick which pair - all of them!), My
winter coats - it gets really cold in London and New York in the
winter time and I would have to say my sweaters since I am really
sensitive to cold weather so I need to keep warm."
Gwyneth is the mother of two and just like all other mothers it
is nice to be able to get time to take care of yourself. So, what
are her best tips?
"Keep it simple and elegant, this way the look will have a
timeless way about it. Always moisturize and wear sunblock, and the
third would have to be try to remain physically active. A little
bit of exercise can go a long way in helping your mood and self
esteem."
Speaking of exercise. Gwyneth is famous for her healthy way of
living and tells us what her latest training routine looks
like.
"I work really hard to stay in shape. I learned a long time ago
that there are no short cuts and that I personally have to put in a
lot of work to stay in shape. I do the Tracey Anderson Method at
least 5 times a week. It is a high energy program that I have found
really is perfect for me. I drive the kids to school and then head
home to work out at least an hour, sometimes 2 hours every day.
Well I have to say - exercise really helps me deal with stress.
When I drop the kids off at school I try to get a good work out
that has my heart pumping which will help me throughout the day. I
try to keep things in perspective so when things go wrong I make
sure not to get too upset."
Last year Gwyneth released the recipe book My Father's Daughter
which starts in Gwyneth's passion for food and her upbringing with
her father Bruce Paltrow who was a master in the kitchen. Cooking
is a great deal in her life and to spend time with family and
friends around food is an important ingredient for a happy life,
Gwyneth says.
"Cooking also relaxes me. I love just being in my kitchen cooking
a meal for my family - it is really a great feeling of satisfaction
for me."

When the time comes to relax and just be alone Gwyneth find the
time to read, send mail and get time for that late dinner with her
friends. And the vacation goes to?
"I love warm weather and nothing gets me back on track then a few
days at a beach. As a family we spend our summers in Long Island
New York at the beach and it is one of my favorite places on this
planet."
The world is her work place and if you travel a lot you are also
bound to find your favourite places.
"I love London of course; France and Italy, but I have a sweet
spot for Spain. I spent some time there as a teenager and have very
close friends there so traveling to Spain is always a pleasure for
me. Generally I really like to travel. I was just in China and
loved it and I am a big fan of Japan, especially the food
there."
Home is where the hear t is…
"I love LA. I grew up there and New York and love the casual
lifestyle. Someday I hope to be able to live in LA again - at least
for part of the year. As a family we spend the school year in
London because of the kids, and for breaks and summer holidays we
go to New York. It is a perfect combination of lifestyles for us.
We are really very lucky to be able to live in two of the world's
best cities."
