Safe Children's Garments
Lindex's Position
No child should be at risk of injury due to having worn a Lindex
garment; we are therefore working actively on safety in our
children's garments. The focus on safety shall permeate the entire
working method all the way from the design stage to the finished
product.
All our children's clothing must follow the requirements of the
European standard regarding child safety (EN 14682).
Scope
In order to make sure that our children's garments are as safe
as possible and that they meet the requirements of the European
standard, we make use of a checklist in order to inspect the
garment at every stage and during development and production. The
checklist is based on the requirements set out in EN 14682, which
regulates the length of and the placement of the chords,
pull-straps and buckle ropes. The checklist also indicates the
requirements of the use and design of hoods as well as restrictions
on the use of small parts in baby garments. Through the use of our
checklist, we minimise the risk of injury due to a child wearing
our garment. Our checklist is continually updated.
